Google Flights

Google Flights is a great search engine for finding flights because you can use this tool to search almost all carriers (not Southwest though), and then book directly with the airline. Google Flights helps you to find the cheapest time to book your flight.

SeatGuru

SeatGuru is a great for helping you decide which seat to choose on your flight. It is a collection of airline seat maps that show which seats are considered good or bad. I especially like to use this for long flights to check out my seat options. SeatGuru is not updated as often as it used to be, but I still find it useful when researching flight and seat options, so check it out.

Get Your Guide

When I am traveling somewhere I’ve never been before, I often look towards Get Your Guide to book a tour of my destination. Get Your Guide sells tours in many countries around the world, but are good for local tours where you live also. I actually first used them in Washington, DC and have loved them ever since. And the phone app it top notch.

Priority Pass

If you are feeling fancy, get a Priority Pass Membership. It comes with some travel credit cards, but you can also buy the membership separately. I find this is better to use with international airports and long layovers. I’ve learned that airport lounges are not all created equal, but when you score a good one, you will appreciate being able to wait in comfort.
