Get a travel card if you love to travel or travel often. It just makes sense.

There are free cards and ones that come with higher annual fees.
I have both. I started with a free card from Bank of America Travel Rewards card years ago, and currently, my favorite card to use for travel is Chase Sapphire Reserve. There is also the Chase Sapphire Preferred that is very popular, as it has a smaller annual fee.

American Express also has a popular travel credit card for those who love to travel in style. Travel credit cards are not something that get you on whim. You need to research the options based on your travel needs and where you will get the most value.

The main thing I love is no foreign transaction fees. There are other perks too such as included travel insurance, lounge access, travel credits, and more. Oh, and don’t forget the points.

You have to assess your lifestyle and make sure you are being responsible when using any type of credit card, but if you love to travel and know how to do it responsibly, I recommend getting a travel credit card.

Learn to work the system and you will be rewarded.
